Murisons helped donate flooring to the Mt. CROSS Lutheran in BOULDER CREEK
Kitchen and Lobby Improvement
Thank you to our friend the health inspector of Santa Cruz County who kindly let us know this past Spring that if the floor did not get replaced within the year, there would be no food service during summer camp 2008. You could say that lit the fire.
Breakfast ended on Sunday October 28th morning at 9am. We got in there and started right away because there were only 145 hours until breakfast was served on the following Saturday morning to 120 people that were here for a University Intervarsity Retreat.
The kitchen, storage, and lobby areas received a new commercial vinyl floor with the help of a partial donation from Murison's Flooring in San Jose. But since the floor and everything was moved out, that was our chance to also put on a fresh coat of paint, make repairs to the walls and floor, and put in new bathroom fixtures. Thank you to the staff for their long days all week and to the Laborers from Mt. Calvary Lutheran in Soquel who helped with the heavy lifting and dismantling. This project would have never been completed in time without all the hard work by everybody.
On Friday morning, the entire dining hall was filled with food, kitchen supplies, and ovens, the dishwasher, and by 7pm on Friday night, everything was put back together and reconnected just in time to welcome our guests for the weekend. Praise God for hearing the prayers and may these improvements serve His people for years to come.
